Connie, celebrated her century today with friends and family at  Shirkoak Park in Kent and a special birthday card from The Queen.

 

She is pictured with park manager Liz Neal and neighbour Sid Whetton who celebrated his 80^th birthday on the park earlier this week.

 

Connie moved to  Shirkoak in 1980 with her husband Jack and has always kept herself busy and active.

 

Until recently she was even catching the bus to do her shopping in Ashford !

 

She said:" I really can't believe I'm 100. I don't know what the secret is, perhaps it is a little of what you fancy always does you good!"

Tickets are on sale at 26A Shirkoak and any help will be appreciated.

Brave Jim has suffered ill health since 2007 so please give generously.

WILLOW PARK are holding a charity fun day in aid of The Welsh Air Ambulance on Saturday.

There will be  two raffles, a tombola, lucky dip and loads more things to do an see.

Wiltshire Farm Foods will also be exhibiting, plus the Air Ambulance and Deeside Radio will also be there.

Coffee and soft drinks will be served from 12.15- 4.30pm and free blood pressure tests will be available for residents.

Raffle prizes include a  football signed by former England star  John Barnes and a luxury wooden bench seat donated by Wyldecrest Parks. All welcome.
